Each year, a group of volunteer math aficionados gather on a Saturday in March to evaluate and grade the OCTM Mathematics Tournament test. It's a fun time with like souls, and provides a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas, network and simply meet colleagues from across Ohio. A continental breakfast and full lunch is provided as a reward (or bribe) for services rendered.

Please review the following information about adding your name to the graders list. Your name on the list will not commit you to participate at the next grading day. It is simply a reference list of individuals who are willing to volunteer their time to help grade the OCTM Mathematics test. The list is used each year to email individuals and invite them to participate. You will be able to login at anytime to update your information and change your grader status to one of the following three options:

  • I can help grade this year
  • I cannot help but wish to remain on the list
  • I request to be removed from the list.

QUALIFICATIONS: All OCTM Tournament coaches, mathematics teachers/professors, pre-service mathematics teachers, retired mathematics teachers and spouses or friends with a suitable background in mathematics are welcome to help grade the OCTM State High School Mathematics Tournament test.

DATE: Grading day is always the first Saturday in March. The location this year is Columbus Academy, 4300 Cherry Bottom Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230.

TIME: Continental breakfast will be available at 8:30 AM and the actual grading process begins at 9:00 AM. Lunch will be provided. Although we continue grading after lunch, we are usually finished by the middle of the afternoon.
